“I learned the trade of fine furniture restoration and re-upholstery from my father in Italy, who learned it from his father and grandfather, and on back for five generations. My father was a true old world craftsman who taught me to treat each piece I work on with pride and reverence.

Since coming to America in 1985, I've restored and reupholstered over 10,000 chairs, sofas and love seats. Some were fine antique originals, but most were ordinary chairs people had grown attached to.

I've manage to keep up with trends and improve my techniques and I'm always looking forward to new challenges.”

San Diego-based furniture and upholstery expert for 40 years, offers his expertise into San Diego custom furniture for furniture lovers. His experience comes from the old world, starting in Italy, where he began his career. From helping hotels, resorts, restaurants, and corporate offices with San Diego furniture reupholstery and refinishing projects, to restoring antiques and family heirlooms, Tony and his team have seen it all and will share their experience with you. Formerly Carleo Designs, International, Tony started his business in San Diego in 1985 and acquired Point Loma Cabinet and Upholstery in 2011.
